About ZipFYI
ZipFYI is a free reference for the world's postal-code systems — ZIP codes, postcodes, and postal codes. It maps the geographic hierarchy of country, state or province, county, city, and postal code, with coordinates and demographic context, so anyone can look up an area or understand how a country's addressing works.
What we cover
- 11 countries — each country's postal-code format, naming, and administrative structure
- Postal codes with coordinates — latitude and longitude for mapping, plus the city, county, and state each code belongs to
- US demographics — income, housing, commute, and education data from the U.S. Census for ZIP-code areas
- Sözlük — postal and geographic terminology defined in 15 languages
- Interactive tools — lookup, distance, demographics, validation, and mapping utilities
Data sources
Postal and place data is derived from open datasets including GeoNames, with United States demographic figures from the U.S. Census Bureau. ZipFYI is an informational reference and is not affiliated with any national postal operator.
