PostalOne! is the USPS's centralized system for managing the business of commercial mail. Mailers submit electronic documentation (eDoc) that describes their mailing: number of pieces, presort level, entry point, mail class, and postage payment method. The system validates the documentation, calculates postage, and provides acceptance or rejection feedback.
PostalOne! replaced paper-based mailing statements (PS Forms 3600-series) with electronic submission, speeding up the acceptance process and enabling real-time tracking of mailing activity. It integrates with the Intelligent Mail barcode system to link piece-level tracking data with mailing documentation.
Commercial mailers interact with PostalOne! through Mail.dat files (industry-standard data format) or the USPS Business Customer Gateway web interface.
